Red Tentacle Music Solutions was established from a vision by musicpreneurs Josh Hogan and Hassan King to help independent musicians and small businesses. Their tireless pursuit of passion and love for music combined with the overwhelming fear of being trapped in a soul-sucking corporate cubicle for the remainder of their lives helped ignite a motivational fire in these two like minded individuals.

 

JOSH HOGAN – CO-FOUNDER

Josh is a jack-of-many-trades and depending on the time of day or night he is a concert promoter, artist manager, marketing strategist, small business consultant, vocalist, event planner, volunteer and board of director (he currently sits with the Halifax Pop Explosion, Music Nova Scotia and the East Coast Music Association).

No stranger to sharing his thoughts, he has spoken at organizations and conferences such as The Halifax Pop Explosion, Noctis Metalfest, Music Nova Scotia Week, The ECMA Conferences and the Nova Scotia Community College.

His efforts in the music community lead to him being named in The Chronicle Herald's "Top 20, 20-somethings" to watch and he has been featured in such publications as Canadian Musician, The Coast, here[NB] Magazine and the Ryerson Review of Journalism.
When not working, Josh enjoys whiskey, craft beers, buying local and long walks on the beach.

HASSAN KING – CO-FOUNDER

Hassan King is co-founder / co-owner of Red Tentacle Music Solutions. Graduating from the Music Business program at Nova Scotia Community College(NSCC) in which he received the “Most Metal Award”, he went on to work for Diminished Fifth Records / Hogan Media Relations under which he did publicity, marketing and show promotion for a multitude of bands, labels and festivals.

Having done almost every task in the music industry from postering, hauling gear, selling merchandise, assisting in a recording studio, booking shows, music placement, putting out an album and countless other jobs. With this strong history and connections in the music industry Hassan has earned his solid reputation throughout the East Coast.
